Travis Watson

As Vice President of Safety, Travis leads Charter’s safety strategy, working with company leadership and project teams to strengthen the programs, practices, and culture that support safe project execution. He brings more than 20 years of environmental, health, and safety leadership experience across nuclear decommissioning, heavy construction, and U.S. Department of Energy projects.

Before joining Charter, Travis served in safety program and subcontractor safety leadership roles at United Cleanup Oak Ridge. A Certified Safety Professional, he brings expertise in human performance, high-risk operations, and building safety cultures where people actively participate in identifying hazards and improving how work gets done.

Travis’s approach connects clear expectations with practical support in the field. Through collaboration, coaching, and continuous improvement, he helps teams anticipate challenges, make informed decisions, and take ownership of safety at every level of the organization.
