This week, while taking the time to honor and celebrate the contributions of the women in our industry, we’d like to highlight some of the exceptional women at Charter, giving some insight into their roles and career paths, and showcasing the strength and knowledge of women in industry, in alignment with this year’s WIC Week theme, “Keys to Success.”
Today we’re showcasing Theresa Maloof, Director of Accounting & I.T., who plays a crucial role in guiding our financial and technology decisions and ensuring our continued growth and success.
With a solid foundation in accounting and finance, including an undergraduate degree from Assumption College and a Master of Science in Taxation from Northeastern University, Theresa’s academic achievements complement her professional accomplishments. Theresa’s diverse experience includes roles in public accounting and as both Senior Accountant and Controller for a real estate development firm.
Coming from the real estate and client side, she found herself drawn to the opportunity to work in a different sector of the industry, and her journey to Charter was guided by our company culture and our commitment to delivering unique and meaningful environmental solutions through our projects.
Theresa oversees our accounting operations and use of technology with precision and expertise. She provides invaluable insight to our leadership team through consistent reporting and analysis, continuously assessing our financial health and identifying opportunities for improvement. Theresa’s collaborative nature and strong communication skills make her a valued member of our team. She works seamlessly across departments, building strong relationships with internal team members, external stakeholders, regulatory agencies, financial institutions, and vendors.
In speaking about her role, Theresa says, “I find fulfillment in developing and executing new processes and procedures to optimize Charter’s growth initiatives. I’m dedicated to improving our reporting and forecasting systems to help our team become more efficient.”
Thanks, Theresa – we’re so grateful for your contributions!
