AGC Build America Awards: Two Milestone Projects Earn National Recognition

Today we celebrated two of our milestone projects, Muddy River Flood Risk Management & Restoration (Muddy River) and Sutton Brook Disposal Area Superfund Site Remediation (Sutton Brook) as they were honored at the 98th Annual Associated General Contractors (AGC) Convention in Las Vegas with 2017 AGC Alliant Build America Awards.

Charter was awarded the top prize in two of the 13 categories— in the Federal & Heavy Renovation for its Muddy River project and in the Environmental Enhancement category for Sutton Brook. Both projects speak to our ability to execute large-scale, complex, multi-scope projects to the satisfaction of multiple stakeholders, as well as the positive impact they have on the environment and surrounding community.

The AGC Alliant Build America Award, presented by AGC, the leading association for the construction industry, “honors members who build the nation’s most impressive construction projects”. This prestigious award is judged by industry peers with a distinct understanding of the complexities of projects submitted for evaluation.

“Charter is honored to have been selected for two AGC Build America National Awards. Being chosen by our peers is a true accomplishment for our Firm,” said Bob Delhome, Charter’s President. He added, “I am extremely proud of the work these teams delivered through both project performances. Our project teams truly exemplify Charter’s mission to deliver high-quality final products with a focus on safety that rely on both proven processes and innovative approaches. This award is a testament to hard work, collaboration, and partnership amongst our employees and most importantly, with our clients.”
