Charter Celebrates 20th Year in Business by Donating $20,000

Boston, MA – June 21, 2017 – Charter Contracting Company, LLC (Charter), a Boston-based environmental remediation and civil construction contractor, celebrated its 20th year in business with colleagues, clients, and partners by giving back to the Boston Community. With the theme of “20 for 20”, Charter donated $20,000 to three meaningful and diverse non-profits; Pine Street Inn, Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)– Boston Post, and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy. The organizations were selected based on subjects fundamental to Charter’s core values; community (Pine Street Inn), education (SAME), and environment (Emerald Necklace). As part of the event, held June 10th on Envoy’s Rooftop bar, guests determined how the funds would be divided by selecting their charity of choice. Thanks to those who attended, Charter will be donating $10,000 to the Pine Street Inn, $5,000 to SAME- Boston, and $5,000 to the Emerald Necklace Conservancy.  “We are so grateful to Charter for their generosity in raising $10,000 for Pine Street Inn,” said Lyndia Downie, Pine Street President. “It means so much to the men and women who are working hard to move beyond homelessness. And it’s especially nice that our neighbors are so caring,” she added.

Charter’s president Bob Delhome, who founded the company in 1997 and has since led its growth into a Northeast leader and sought-after provider of environmental remediation services, was honored to mark the celebration with donations to these charities. “It is a privilege to celebrate our 20TH anniversary and to honor the many relationships that have contributed to our success by supporting and partnering with three tremendous non-profit organizations,” Bob remarked. Jessica Welch, Director of Annual Giving for the Emerald Necklace stated, “The Conservancy is honored to be included in Charter’s 20th Anniversary celebration.  It is truly generous of Charter to support the Emerald Necklace parks both through this donation and their incredible work on the Muddy River Restoration Project.”
