Watertown Ribbon Cutting

On December 3rd, Charter’s Mike Gentile, Bob Johnson, and Alasdair Cunningham were recognized for their hard work in completing the Watertown GSA Property remediation. The 13 acre site was transformed from a hazardous waste site into a beautiful wetlands and usable green space for the surrounding community.

The Watertown Arsenal Ribbon Cutting took place in the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown with many distinguished guests in attendance. Five spoke about the hard work it took to bring this project to fruition and thanked those involved. Speakers included Colonel Christopher J. Barron, Commander and District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Gary S. Moran, Deputy Commissioner for Operations and Environmental Compliance MassDEP, Kevin J. Whalen, Deputy Commissioner of Operations DCR, Robert Zarnestske, Regional Administrator for the U.S. GSA, and Glenn C. Rotondo, Regional Commissioner Public Building Services for the U.S. GS

Colonel Christopher J. Barron spoke highly of Charter’s work on the project stating “The work was complex, challenging and involved collaboration with the local community. Charter, the contractor, did a great job”.
